Boxplot

Interpreting a boxplot

A box plot is an effective graphical representation of the distribution of a set of data. It shows the quartiles (or the 25th and 75th percentiles), the median (the 50th percentile) and the maximum and minimum of the set. The nth percentile is the value at which n% of all values is below and 100-n% of the values above the nth percentile.
